Magnificent bronze sculpture representing a hunting scene: a stag struggling with dogs. The piece is signed "MENE," with the signature visible on the base (see photos). It rests on a solid green marble pedestal, in excellent condition. A very high-quality work, rich in detail and movement, typical of the animal sculptures of the 19th century by Pierre-Jules MENE, a famous French sculptor.
