Rare, miniature bronze appearing a cow, signed fratin on the base. Note the particularly precise work on horns. On white marble base (gloss at the corner).

Dimensions: height 10 cm, width about 9 cm. Born in metz, fratin studied at the free school of metz drawing, and, in common for horses, drew closer to the style of carle vernet and theodore géricault. As early as 1831, he regularly exhibited at the salon, where he eventually met with success and esteem.
